Petersfield Branch – Fundraising Events

Petersfield Branch news and Forthcoming Events

2017 was our DIAMOND JUBILEE year;

2019 will be the CENTENARY of the charity

Milestones to celebrate!

We celebrated in style on the evening of September 11th and are proud to be the best-performing Save the Children branch in the UK. Last year we remitted to Headquarters just over £50,000, including £3,000 of Gift Aid.

The Charity will celebrate its centenary in 2019 – watch this space for details.

And more to celebrate – another fantastically successful Big Sale at which we achieved a PROFIT OF £26,000 which is more than 2017. Cheers!!

2017 events:

We held the popular Bridge Day

on September 11th at the Tithe Barn, Ditcham.

It was a fantastic success with many satisfied players and some with some amazing raffle prizes.

We are also delighted to announce that Prue Scurfield who has been working with the Branch for the past 40 years was recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours and she collected her British Empire Medal (BEM) in Winchester on the 11th September. She sported it for our diamond jubilee celebrations that evening!

We are very grateful to the General Wine Company for sponsoring our celebrations and to The Great British Cake Shop for the special 60th anniversary cake.

Concert by the Hampshire Police Choir held in October
